From Tom Fioretti, Chief Risk Engineering Officer of Zurich:
I am excited to announce that Rick Zellen is our 2016 Risk Engineer of the Year! Rick is our 19th honoree, befitting an annual tradition that dates back to 1998. Rick works from his home in Denver. He has been a Zurich colleague for four years and offers 26 years of hands-on industry, brokerage and carrier experience. He is the only construction risk engineer in Colorado and focuses mostly on Commercial Markets Construction accounts with an emphasis on workers comp, general liability, fleet and ergonomics.
Rather than me telling you about why Rick deserves this honor, I will quote MD&RM Business Development Leader Mark Wall from Denver: “I cannot think of anyone in Rick’s capacity more dedicated and committed to the construction industry, our customers and their employees than he is. Construction underwriters who work with Rick appreciate his thoughtfulness in evaluating their renewals and new business opportunities, thereby allowing them to make sound and consistent underwriting decisions.”
Rick will be honored at the Risk Engineering All-Manager Meeting this spring. In the meantime, please join me in congratulating Rick on this terrific honor!
