OSHA Reporting Requirements and Anti-Retaliation Provisions

OSHA Hot Topics:  OSHA recently issued its final rule on its new recordkeeping regulations in 29 CFR § 1904.35(b)(1)(i)).  These regulations can be broken down into two areas.  The new online reporting system and new anti-retaliation provisions.  While the new online reporting requirement goes into effect next spring, employers must be prepared for the new anti-retaliation provisions starting in this November.

Presentation outcomes:

  • Effect of the online reporting system

  • OSHA guidance on incentive programs and drug testing

  • OSHA’s increased penalties
