Contract Safety Professionals

Looking for two contract safety professionals to work a Coal-Fired Power Plant Outage starting March 5 for approximately 8 weeks in Northwest CO.


The contract safety professional will be asked to represent a maintenance/construction contractor (client) during a coal-fired power plant outage.  The main work scope for this contractor is to demolish and reinstall large hopper walls and associated structural supports.


The safety professional will be responsible with the management and implementation of the client’s ES&H Program.  This will include, but not limited to, the following activities:   Coordinate site safety orientation (all employees will be required to successfully complete a Site Specific Safety Orientation provided by the owner/operator prior to being allowed to work on site); provide additional safety training as requested by the client, participate in daily too box safety meetings, perform daily safety inspections, manage various applicable procedures such as Confined Space Entry, Respiratory Protection, Fire Safety, Fall Protection and more.


The work schedule will be 7 days a week for most of the outage duration.  The location is in northwest CO.  The project is scheduled to start on March 5, 2018. Travel expenses and per diem will be provided in addition to a competitive hourly rate, which includes time and a half for all hours worked over 40 hours a week and double time for work performed on Sundays and client approved holidays.
